One aspect of the overall weathering technique I haven't explicitly covered is its output of both eroded terrain heights and analytical derivatives. However, these derivatives were never particularly accurate, neither in Clay John and Fewes' implementations nor mine. They're used internally to calculate channel directions but output derivatives were never utilized.
